Potassium nitrate (Indian saltpeter, potassium salt of nitric acid).
EC FERTILIZER. Type of fertilizer: B.3.1.
Reliable and useful fertilizer for the garden, time-tested.
KNO3 - nitrogen-potassium fertilizer (13-46) for feeding all vegetables in open ground and greenhouses, berry bushes, strawberries and other garden plants.
Dissolve the fertilizer in water before use. (Note: not suitable for heather plants).
Fertilizer rate:
when watering under the root of the plant - 30–50 g / 10 L of water
when spraying on the leaves of plants - 50 g / 10 L of water.

Composition: nitrogen (N) - 13.5% (nitrogen nitrate N-NO3 - 13.5%), water-soluble potassium oxide (K2O) - 46.2%.
The active substances contained in the fertilizer are completely soluble in water.
With physical changes, the nutritional properties of fertilizers do not change. When the fertilizer is stored in a dry and protected from direct sunlight place, the period of use is not limited.
Important:
* potassium nitrate is a strong oxidizing agent, so it can quickly react with various combustible substances
* it is different from other potassium-containing fertilizers in that its composition brings minimal harm to the soil
* Potassium nitrate is used when growing plants that are sensitive to chlorine.

Kaaliumsalpeeter, kaaliumnitraat, Potassium nitrate, salpeter, Селитра калийная

A complex mineral fertilizer that can be used on soils of various compositions and for a variety of cultivated crops.
It contains two main elements - potassium and nitrogen in the proportion of 13.5%: 46.2%.
A characteristic difference between potassium nitrate and other mineral fertilizers containing potassium is that it does not contain chlorine, without causing a negative reaction of plants sensitive to Cl.
Positive properties:
Potassium and nitrogen are substances necessary for the active growth of plants: nitrogen affects the development and growth of green mass, and potassium is an essential element that promotes abundant flowering and fruiting, increased immunity, frost resistance and plant resistance to drought.
Potassium nitrate is used to improve the metabolic processes of the plant, as well as to optimize photosynthesis.
Potassium nitrate is used both as a basic fertilizer and for foliar top dressing for most types of vegetables, as well as for flower, ornamental and fruit crops.
The most favorable effect of fertilizer on crops such as: cabbage, potatoes, grapes, flax, onions.
Like most nitrogen-containing fertilizers, it is advisable to apply saltpeter to the soil in the spring, at the beginning of active plant growth (20 g per 1 sq.m).
Since this composition mostly affects active flowering and fruiting, it is not recommended to use it for feeding root crops (it will be enough to apply it as the main fertilizer to the soil in the spring before planting).
As a top dressing, potassium nitrate is applied from the beginning of the appearance of buds until the fruit ripens. Since the nitrogen content in the fertilizer is low, this is the best option for fruit trees.
Please note that, starting from the moment of flowering, other nitrogen-containing fertilizers cannot be used!
To feed plants, you should take 25 g of saltpeter and dilute it in 10 liters of water, watering is carried out depending on the condition of the soil and plants at intervals of 10-15 days.
With a deficiency of potassium, when a small number of buds are formed or the ovary develops poorly, foliar top dressing is used. Plants are treated with a potassium solution (25 g/15 l of water).
Potassium nitrate is highly soluble in water, so it can be used in mixtures. It is successfully used in hydroponics and drip irrigation.
